Silence, It was the thing that filled the entire 6 hour trip. You would think that eventually, throughout the long dragging hours someone would strike up a conversation. However, aside from the slightly awkward chit-chat Haru had tried to continue when the journey set off, there wasn't much speaking.

To drown out the silence they simply turned on the radio, letting its repeating songs fill the void. Though the drive was a rather long one, it had been shortened for Shizuo and Izaya. Around 3 hours into the trip, almost simultaneously, they both fell unconscious.
While this could be explained away by the lack of sleep both male's had received the previous night, there was still an unsettling feeling. This was mostly due to the change in scenery.

When both Shizuo and Izaya had awoken, they had come to notice that the scenery had changed, dramatically so. Instead of buildings and houses, there was a lush greenery all around them. The world around them was lit with a soft glow of the setting sun.
Despite this, it was still rather easy to see the setting. Instead of towering buildings and shops lining the roads, various flora were depicted.

The change in scenery was a rather shock to both men, it wasn't as if they hadn't been in rural parts of japan, but this place was far different from the nature of Hokkaido.

It wasn't something they could really pick out, it was just the vibe and look of the place, that gave it a foreign feeling.
Soon, after about another hour of driving, Haru slowed the car. Instead of being on a dirt road, they had finally made it to a paved road.
After a bit, a house came into view, it was decently sized, it would easily fit two people.

While it wasn't too big, it was still a two-story.

He stopped the car in front of it, in the circular drive way. Haru sighed, turning the key and stepping out of the car.
After a moment, Shizuo and the Informant got out, looking up at the house. For the first time in almost 6 hours, Shizuo broke the silence.

"So. . .this is it?" He asked, his voice sort of raspy due to the lack of speech. Haru cleared his throat slightly "Yeah." He responded, going to the trunk of the car. He began pulling out the male's baggage.

Shizuo took it effortlessly, even though it was clear Haru had struggled with it.
He looked up at the house silently, honey colored eyes staring at it in thought. His gaze flicked over to the raven, who was staring vacantly at the house, his once mischievous and devilish red eyes seemed dull and lifeless.

He bit the inside of his lip, taking some of Izaya's bags, knowing he'd most likely struggle with it as well.
Though they had let Izaya stay that night, in the morning he had found it hard to move without whimpering and wincing in pain, almost his entire body hurting him.

While he seemed better now, Shizuo still knew Izaya couldn't handle that much weight on his already damaged form.
He silently began walking to the house, Haru and Izaya following with the rest of the raven's baggage.
Balancing the bag, Haru managed to open the door for them.
Inside the house was rather nice, It seemed kind of old-fashioned western style, however. Haru set down the bags, looking up at them. "Well, Make yourselves at home. ." He said, looking to both of them for a response.

Izaya just stared dully at the ground, as if his words hadn't even registered. Shizuo only nodded.
Feeling the awkward tension develop again, he looked up the stairs. "Er. . . ." He said, messing with his hat. "Your bedrooms are up stairs. There's also already food stalked in the kitchen and refrigerator, help yourself." Haru murmured, then looked at them. "Since its late. . I won't go over the rules of living here just yet, since my brother isn't here, and either is a few other key people. . .So, I guess I'll pop in during the morning."

Shizuo looked over and sighed. "Thank you."
Haru nodded and headed for the door. "If you need me, call by the house phone, not your cell."
With a nod, He left, leaving both of the enemies together. Izaya hadn't said anything, and was just stiffly picking his bags up.
Shizuo blinked and watched him for a second, making sure he wasn't putting himself through anymore pain.
When he didn't wince or whimper, he looked away, deciding subconsciously that he must' have been feeling better. Being the faster of the two, Shizuo made his way up stairs.

The blonde slipped into a random room.
It was fairly large, having a king sized bed set in the middle of the space.
Even though the room looked untouched, there was not a lick of dirt or dust on it, it was pristine. Sighing, he set the bag down, sitting heavily on the bed.
He had despised being in that car for so long, he'd been trapped there.
Or, rather he was trapped in his own head, his thoughts swirling violently in his mind. Izaya, Dante, the house. All of this had happened so. . .suddenly.
At least, the realization had, him seeing how bad the abuse really was on Izaya had come like a title wave, knocking Shizuo off his feet.He hadn't expected it to be like that, he didn't think it would have been so. .Intense.

Seeing Izaya there, curled up in blood stained, wrinkled sheets, his body bruised and battered, his once soft, pale and almost flawless skin littered with dark bruises, And his delicate yet sharp features splattered with another male's cum. . .It was as if he was dreaming.
Seeing the once, proud and most definitely confident flea, curled up in such a state, his beautiful red eyes now dull, looking at Shizuo as if he hadn't even realized he was there. .

It had been too much for him. He didn't even really remember how it happened, but the next thing he remembered, he had the flea in his arms, his frame shaking with each sob that emitted from him.

That's what had snapped him out of his trance, Izaya's sobs.

Even though you'd think that it would add into the dream like feeling of it all, but instead, it made Shizuo snap out of it and realize that what was happening was in fact real.
The blonde bit his lip as he sighed through his nose, feeling the unsettling feeling bubble up inside him. He was staring at the ceiling in thought, all the previous day's incidents coming back to him.

By this time it was dark, the only source of light coming from Shizuo's bed side table. Sitting up stiffly, he looked at the door.
/I wonder if Izaya's up still. . ./ The bartender asked himself, honey eyes trained on the door as he debated getting up.
Eventually he decided against it, going along to getting dressed for bed.

Meanwhile, Izaya had made his way to his room with only a little struggle, he ignored the pain he felt in his muscles and even in his bones. Eventually he made it to a vacant room, dropping the bags with a heavy THUMP. Despise having the entire day to rest, his body still felt like lead.
The raven didn't even bother to shed his outfit from that day, he simply flopped down on the bed, curling up in the unfamiliar bed. He hadn't spoken too much that day, as he had found it hard to.

There was nothing to say, frivolous chit-chat and conversations were useless. Not only this, but the entire ride he had just wanted to melt away and vanish from the vehicle. Each time he'd glance at the blonde flashes of the day before came flooding back, all the feelings, the lump in his throat grew and he could feel the humiliation flood over him at the thought of the person he hated the most, seeing him in such a state.
It was a horrid feeling, Humiliating. It could have been anyone who could have found him, but it just had to be him. . .The one person he hated the most in this life.

He turned in his bed, feeling his stiff muscles ache in pain, though he felt it, he didn't really respond. He felt hollow, as if everything around him couldn't invoke any type of emotion he had. Everything just felt. . .meaningless.
And the scary part, was that it wasn't even a 'I don't want to live anymore' feeling, Even that seemed useless.
It was as if everything had just been colored over in a monochrome color, nothing, barely even the thoughts inside his head, could invoke a reaction.
It was as if Izaya had just. . .Broken.

All of this had been too much for him, his ego, or rather, what was left of it, along with, what seemed to be him in general, was smashed and shattered into small, microscopic pieces.
He just couldn't do it anymore, he just couldn't /care/ anymore.
He had broken his promise to himself, he vowed not to cry. And he had broken it, and, to make matters worse, he had broken it in front of Shizuo. He had broken down and sobbed in his arms. .

The thought was too much.

Wrapping himself tightly in the maroon sheets, he bit his lip, squeezing his eyes shut.
Before he knew it, he had already drifted into a dull, uneventful sleep.
SO. I finally decided to write a new chapter. . .its been a long, long while. .
But, This story isn't totally dead.

;~; I re-read all the chapters and damn. . .I'm one sadistic writer. .

QAQ I'm sorry my little Izaya.
